Student Success Statement: Wilford Woodruff

“Nothing is ever gained in doing what’s wrong.” - Wilford Woodruff
This quote means that you won’t ever accomplish anything by choosing the wrong. If you choose the right you will gain trust and respect from others around you. Everyone will know you're a trustworthy and respectful person because you stay on the right track all the time. If you choose the wrong instead of gaing you'll be losing a lot of trust and respect when you get caught. Everyone will know you a untrustworthy and disrespectful person for always being on the wrong track. This is why it is important to know that you will not gain from choosing the wrong.

There are many example of how nothing is ever gained from choosing the wrong. For example you choose to cheat on a test and you get a perfect score. What will happen if your parents choose to ask you some of the questions to prove if you really did get a perfect score and you don’t understand any? You will end up getting grounded for cheating and the teacher will be notified of how you choose the wrong. The gain is only temporary but the consequences are permanent for choosing the wrong. This is basically what I understood from this quote by Wilford Woodruff.
