FINAL: Part 1 of 2 (class/self evaluation)

"What you liked about the class and things you didn't like about it."
The things I liked about this class is that we would be given different medical careers and we would get to research them on our own to learn about them. I also liked how each day we had a different quote and were able to type how we felt about it. The last thing I liked was how we got to see different videos of people choosing the right or those learning a lesson about choosing the right. One thing I didn't like about the class is only being able to go on typing tutor but not on the games.

"List suggestions for improving the class."
A suggestion I have for the class is being able to listen to music with earphones while working on an assignment in your computer but you having to pause it when the teacher is talking. Another suggestion would be us being able to choose quotes to write about like when we able to choose careers to write about. My last suggestion would be to switch things up once in a while cause it gets boring doing the same thing every day.

"Did you really do your best in this class?"
Yes, I did do my best in this class. I would always finish my work on time, practice my typing tutor and listen when the teacher was talking. I would try my best to complete my work to the best of my ability.

"Are you committed to being a CTR person? Why or Why not?"
I am committed to being a CTR person because I am always trying to go down the right pathway which is leaded by choosing the right.

IDP Showcase

My IDP was about colon cancer and it got done with my team members Maria, Andrew and Samantha. It was a very difficult progress from dividing the parts between each other to presenting to our panel. My part was to research symptoms of colon cancer and tests made in order to see if you have colon cancer. Another one of my parts was to get all my group members information and putting it into the power point. My last part was to create the creative component. I learned so much about colon cancer like symptoms, treatments, community resources available for colon cancer and more. This project benefited me because it taught me to speak in front of an audience, how to memorize, how to create a power point, how to use imovie, and many more skills. These skills will come in handy in the future when ever I need to present something and how to be organized about it.

Student Success Statement: Mark Twain

"Always do right"- Mark Twian

This quote means that it is important to do what is right all the time no matter what. If you always choose the right than you won't have to be fearing the consequences. You will be able to do what ever you want with your life by doing things right. If you always choose the wrong you will feel guilty and afraid of the consequences. You will always have to worry about watching your back and being careful instead of living a worry free life. This all goes to prove how important it is to right every where all the time.

There are many examples of how important it is to always do right. For example, if you always do your homework you will get good grades and school will be easy for you. this will lead you to become successful in the future. Another example would be you never doing your homework which means you would get bad grades and you will struggle in school. This will lead you to be unsuccessful in the future because doing wrong will be a habit to you. This is basically what I understood from this quote.

Student Success Statement: Unknown

"It's better to be alone than to be in bad company"
-Unknown

This quote means that you don't have to be with a crowd doing bad stuff when you can be by yourself doing the right thing. If you stand by yourself and be alone you will already be on the pathway to success. You won't be worrying about unimportant things but instead be focused on doing what's right and making your parents happy. If you don't stand by yourself and decide to hang with the bad crowd you will be lead on the opposite path to success. You will be worrying about getting caught, feeling guilty a lot and disappoint your parents. This all adds to how important this quote is to follow and live by.

There are many examples of how standing alone is better than to be with bad company. For example, your friends invite you to go try something new with them but your not really sure about it so you stay home. Later on you find out what they did, how they got caught and all the trouble they went through, let's just say you were pretty glad you stayed home. Another example would be that your invited to this big party and you know you can't miss out on it. You end up doing somethings that you aren't really proud of and get in trouble for so you basically regret going. This is basically what I understood from
 this quote.

Student Success Statement: Evan Stephens

"If we do what's right, we have no need to fear."
- Evan Stephens

This quote means that if you do what is right there won't be anything to fear. This is true because if you don't do what is right you will fear the consequences that are bound to happen. Not choosing what is right will make you fear and you can't live in fear forever. In order to continue on in live and to go on the pathway to success you must not live in fear. There are many examples of how choosing the right will lead you to a life without fear. For example if you do your work all the time you won't have the fear of getting bad grade. Another example of this is you not studying for a test and you being scared of not doing well on a test. This is basically what I understood from this quote.

Student Success Statement: Lou Holtz

"1.Can people trust me to do what's right?
2.Am I committed to doing my very best?
3.Do I treat people the way I want to be treated?
If the answer to these questions are YES, there is no way you can fail."-Lou Holtz

This means that if you said yes to all these questions then congrats because your on your way to success. You will have success because you will be considered a good person since this is what people look for in this society. If you have these things you will be on your pathway to greatness. If you didn't answer those three questions with a yes then you won't really be considered a great person. Due to this you won't be able to achieve greatness. It is important to be able to answer these with a yes because they are basically the keys to everyday life.

There are many examples of how important you being able to say yes to these questions is. For example if you are committed to doing you very best then you'll be used to doing stuff like homework in order to get good grades. You will be use to making the  right choices anytime all the time. Another example would be you not treating people the way you want to be treated this leading you to have no friends because you don't seem like a good person. This is basically what I understood from this quote.

Student Success Statement: John F. Kennedy

"Physical fitness is not only one of the most important keys to a healthy body, it is the basics of dynamic and creative intellectual activity. The relationship between the soundness of the body and the activities of the mind is subtle and complex. Much is not yet understood. But we do know what the Greeks knew: that intelligence and skill can only function at the peak of their captivity when the body is healthy and strong."- John F. Kennedy

This quote means it is important to be physically active because in order to be intelligent and skilled you first need to be healthy. If you are healthy you will be able to do great things like getting good grades or running a 5k race. Being physically active helps you keep you and your mind in great shape. If you are unhealthy you won't be able to get good grades as easily because you won't able to concentrate as easily. Not being physically active will

Hawaii

Hawaii is the only state in the U.S. made entirely of only islands, it has 132 islands in total. Hawaii though only has eight main islands: Niihau, Kauai, Oahu, Molokai, Lanai, Maui, Kahoolawe and the Big Island of Hawaii. Hawaii's capital is Honolulu, where one of the biggest volcanoes located in Hawaii is at called Diamond Head. Hawaii has interesting things like only having 12 letters in their alphabet which are A,E,I,O,U,H,K,L,M,N,P and W. Another fun fact about Hawaii is that under the sea volcanoes which erupted thousands of years ago form what is now Hawaii. Lastly Hawaii also has the nickname "Aloha State" since Aloha is used so much in Hawaii.

Hawaii is a state that I would like to because it interests me. Hawaii seems so great and nice to go vacationing to or even to go live in. If I went to Hawaii I would like to go sight seeing or going swimming with like dolphins. Hawaii seems like there is just so much to do that you need to practically live there to experience it all. For me it has always been one of my goals to go to Hawaii.
