Student Success Statement: Rachel Castillo

"If you do what's right, if you live the right way, you'll be taken care of."-Rachel Castillo

This quote means that if you follow the right path it will lead you to success without you even having to worry about it. When you do what is right you never have to worry about anything going wrong. You will be use to staying out of trouble and choosing the right thing all the time. When you do what is wrong you will constantly feel guilty and be worrying about the consequences. You will be more likely to always be in trouble and be choosing the wrong. Choosing to do and live the right way will help you to be taken care of.

There are many examples of how choosing the right will help you be taken care of. For example, if you always do your homework this will lead you to get good grades, go to a great college and just guide you to success. Doing something as simple as doing your homework can influence the way you will be in the future. Another example would be you not doing your homework this leading you to get bad grades, not go to college and just take you downhill. It can be a great impact on your life whether you choose the right or the wrong. This is basically what I understood from this quote.

Student Success Statement: Arnold H. Glasgow

"In life as in football, you won't go far, unless you know where goalposts are" - Arnold H. Glasgow

This quote means that you won't be able to do much in life unless you sent your priorities straight. If you know exactly what you want to do and have goals set for yourself this will help you in life. If you have a plan for yourself you can easily follow that path to success. Knowing what you want to do in life will help you to be able to stay in the right track all the time. Setting goals for yourself will help you to better yourself in order to be successful in life.

There are many examples of how important it is to set goals for yourself. For example, if you plan out what you want to do after high school you will know what you need to do in order to get where you want to be in the future. These goals will light up the way to success for you without you doing much. Another example would be you not planning out what you want to do after highschool and this causing you to do nothing in life. This is because you didn't set goals for your self in order to lead you to success. This is basically what I understood from this quote.

Student Success Statement: Albert Einstein

"What's right isn't always popular. What's popular isn't always right." -Albert Einstein

This quote means that what you think is right isn't always going to work out with what everyone else is doing. It also means that what everyone is going around doing isn't always going to be right. That means that just because the number of people choosing the wrong is higher than those choosing the right doesn't make it right to do all of a sudden. If you know you are choosing the right then you should stand up against the crowd choosing the wrong. No matter what choosing the right in any situation will make you a better person than those who stand against you.

There are many examples of how choosing the right will make you a better person than those trying to be "popular". For example, if you walk into a party and see a group smoking and they offer you to try. Just because a lot of them are smoking doesn't make smoking all of a sudden healthy. Another example would be you accepting to smoking and becoming addicted just because you wanted to be "popular". If you just stick up for what you believe in you will face no consequences in life unlike those who don't believe in choosing the right. In conclusion it is better to just choose the right.

Student Success Statement: Thomas A. Monson

"You can't be right by doing wrong; you can't be wrong by doing right" -Thomas A. Monson

This quote means that when you are doing wrong it can never be a good thing or right. It also means that when you are doing right it can never be a bad thing or wrong. When you do something right you will always be able to recognize it as correct. When you do something wrong you will also always be able to recognize it as bad. You just have to have the ability of always choosing the right in order to know and understand the difference between right or wrong.

There are many examples of how right will always be right and wrong will always be wrong. For example, if you stand up for someone who is being bullied you know you did it because it was just the right thing to do other than just standing around. Another example would be you getting a bad grade in a class and you not wanting to tell your parents because you know that it is wrong and you don't want to get in trouble for it. It is important for you to know the difference in order to be successful in life by choosing what is right instead of wrong. This is basically what I understood from the quote above from Thomas A Monson.
