Army Field Surgeon
Duties and Responsibilities: The field surgeon performs the basic duties of a physician. He or she examines, diagnoses, and treats for the initial phase of battlefield disease or injury. The field surgeon also provides resuscitative and definitive care for injured or wounded soldiers.
Salary: $87,350
Education: The Army Medical Corps offers first-year graduate medical education, residency and fellowship programs. Qualifying medical school students can also benefit through unique training opportunities exclusive to Army Medical Corps Officers.
Demand For This Profession: This career is rising because we are in need of more army surgeons because of how fast the rate of injured or wounded soldiers has gone up. It is expected to raise higher because of how necessary this career is.

I think I would like to be a army surgeon because I would get to help people in need who put their lives in danger to protect our country. This also seems like a very interesting career.
