Class Evaluation

1.The things I liked about this class were getting to learn and practice typing skills. I also liked how we got to research a lot of medical related careers. The final thing I liked was the student success statements because we got a lot of great advice.
2. What I didn't like about the class is that we didn't really have group assignments which would've been fun.
3.I recommended that we should be taught how to use other computer programs beside word, excel and power point. We should also have group assignments so that we can interact with classmates.
4. A highlight for me was getting to learn many new computers skills. Another highlight was getting to practicing typing skills since I have always wanted to learn how to type without looking at the keyboard.
5. I did do my best in this class because I would make sure all my assignments were to done to the best of my abilities and completed on time.
6.Yes, i am reading my Life Planning Goals Journal for 5 minutes everyday, plus always adding more goals as well as writing in the journal part.
7. Yes, I am committed to be a CTR person because I always choose the right in every situation in order to stay on the right path to success.
8. I learn about how important it is to choose the right and how far it can take you in life. I want to pass it on to others to teach them how choosing the right is the best thing to do all the time.
9.I will always remember Mr. Haymore telling us to choose the right every single time that we were dismissed so that we can always remember what he has taught us and expects of us.

Student Success Statement: Mr. Haymore

Of all the choices you will ever make, one choice supersedes all others-the ultimate choice. This one choice will help you to always make correct decisions for the remainder of your life. This one choice, The Ultimate Choice, is your keystone for being the best student and person you can possibly be. This one choice will forever affect you for good more than any other choice.
The Ultimate Choice is:
To be a CTR Person-to Always Choose The Right 24/7
-Mr.Haymore

This quote means that it is important for you to be a CTR person because it can affect you greatly. If you become a CTR person then you will be lead down a path of greatness. You will know your way to success by just being a CTR person. If you don’t become a CTR person then you will be lead down a bad path that will affect you greatly. You will not be successful because you will be too busy choosing the wrong and forget what you want to do in life. This is why it is important to become a CTR person.

There are many examples of why it is important to become a CTR person. For example, if you are invited to a party but have a test the next day, what do you do? A CTR person would just stay home and study in order to get a good grade on that test. You will then go on to graduate and go to college because you stayed focus. A non-CTR person would just go to the party and end up failing the test because of not studying. This person will later on not graduate and go on to be successful because they didn’t set their priorities straight like a CTR person would of. This is basically what I understood from this quote by Mr. Haymore.

Student Success Statement: Dan Dierdorf

“If I've got correct goals, and if I keep pursuing them the best way I know how, everything else falls into line. If I do the right thing right, I'm going to succeed.” - Dan Dierdorf

This quote means that setting goals can have better chances at you being successful. If you set goals it will lead you to what you want to accomplish in life. It will help you to stay focus when you write down what you want to do in life. If you don’t set goals then you won’t be lead to success because you won’t know what you want to do in life. You won’t be able to stay focus because you won’t have a written out plan of what you want to do in life. This is why it is important to set goals in order for you to be able to right things to get to where you want to be in life.

There are many examples of how setting goals can lead you to success in life. For examples if two students are given journals to write down goals but they both have different perspectives on it. One of the students always writes down goals and takes it everywhere with him. That student later on ends up going to college and getting the career of his dreams. The other student never writes down goals and is always forgetting to bring it to class. He later on drops out of highschool and works a minimum wage job for the rest of his life. That goals journal lead both of them on different paths depending on the way they put it to use. This is basically what I understood from this quote by Dan Dierdorf.

Student Success Statement: Dr. Laura Schlessinger

“The reward for doing right is mostly an internal phenomenon: self- respect, dignity (self-worth), integrity, and self-esteem.” - Dr Laura Schlessinger

This quote means that it is important to choose the right in all situations. This is important because choosing the right is what leads you to become a better person in life. If you choose the right then you will get a positive impact not a reward but something much better like respect or integrity. You will start to feel good about yourself and choose the right more often. Choosing the right won’t always just affect others around you but you as well. This is why it is so important to choose the right all the time.

There are many examples of why you should choose the right in every situation and not just because of a reward. For example, If you are to find something like an ipad with money in a case somewhere , what’s the right thing to do? Well the right thing to do would be to turn it into the authorities so that the rightful owner can get it back. The wrong thing to do would be to keep the ipad and money for yourself when it wasn’t yours in the first place. You might not earn a reward for this good deed but at least you've earned self-respect and integrity. This is basically what I understood from this quote by Dr. Laura Schlessinger.

Student Success Statement: Theodore Roosevelt

“In any moment of decision, the best thing you can do is the right thing.”-Theodore Roosevelt
This quote means that if you ever need to make a decision if you choose the right thing then that’s the best thing you can do. If you choose what you think is the right thing to do then you shouldn’t have to worry about consequences. You should never let anyone or anything keep you from choosing the right thing. If you choose the wrong thing then you will have to be worrying about the consequences and constantly feel guilty. This is why if you ever have to make a decision, all you have to do is choose the right thing.

There are many examples of how important it is to choose the right thing when making a decision. For example, you have a test the next day but you have been invited to a party, what do you do? The right thing to do would be to stay home and study in order to get a good score on that test. That will end up making your parents proud and you are able to continue to go out. The wrong thing to do would be to go to the party and fail the test the next day. That then leads you to be grounded and unable to go out for 2 weeks. Depending on what decision you choose to make, either right or wrong, will determine your future. This is basically what I understood from this quote by Theodore Roosevelt.

Student Success Statement: Wilford Woodruff

“Nothing is ever gained in doing what’s wrong.” - Wilford Woodruff
This quote means that you won’t ever accomplish anything by choosing the wrong. If you choose the right you will gain trust and respect from others around you. Everyone will know you're a trustworthy and respectful person because you stay on the right track all the time. If you choose the wrong instead of gaing you'll be losing a lot of trust and respect when you get caught. Everyone will know you a untrustworthy and disrespectful person for always being on the wrong track. This is why it is important to know that you will not gain from choosing the wrong.

There are many example of how nothing is ever gained from choosing the wrong. For example you choose to cheat on a test and you get a perfect score. What will happen if your parents choose to ask you some of the questions to prove if you really did get a perfect score and you don’t understand any? You will end up getting grounded for cheating and the teacher will be notified of how you choose the wrong. The gain is only temporary but the consequences are permanent for choosing the wrong. This is basically what I understood from this quote by Wilford Woodruff.

Student Success Statement: Pam Knox

“It’s a great moment when someone has the character to step up and do the right thing at the right time.” - Pam Knox

This quote means that it is important to do the right thing at the right time. If you do the right thing at the right time then great things will come your way. People will know you for choosing the right and have respect towards you. If you don’t do the right thing at the right time then bad things will come your way. People will know you for this and never want to help you when you are in need of help because of this. That is why it is important for you to know when it is the right time to stand up for someone or something.

There are many examples of how important it is to stand up for someone or something. For example, if you see someone being bullied you should go and stand up for the person being bullied. You should do this because you saw what happened and it would be the right thing to do. If you didn’t stand up for them then you are choosing the wrong because it is almost as though you are helping the bully. This is basically what I understood from this quote by Pam Knox.

Student Success Statement: 10 Indian Commandments

1.Treat the Earth and all that dwells therein with respect.
2.Remain close to the Great Spirit.
3.Show great respect to your fellow beings.
4.Work together for the benefit of all mankind.
5.Give assistance and kindness wherever needed.
6.Do what you know to be right.
7.Look after the well-being of mind and body.
8.Dedicate a share of your efforts to the greater good.
9.Be truthful and honest at all times.
10.Take full responsibility for your actions.

These commandments mean to basically always choose the right. Like the first means to treat the earth and everything on it good so you're choosing the right. The third one says to be respectful to everyone which is another way to choose the right. The fifth one says to help and be nice whenever it is need yet again another way to choose the right. The ninth one also says another way to choose the right which is by being honest and not lying. These commandments are important for not just Indians to follow but others as well. These commandments are perfect examples of how a ctr person should act all day, everyday. These commandments can be used in any situation throughout your day. If you are to follow these commandments they would lead to down the right path to success in your life. This is basically what I understood from these 10 commandments for Indians and I really think everyone should follow them in order to choose the right.

Student Success Statement: Theodore Hesburgh

“ My basic principle is that you don't make decisions because they are easy; you don’t make them because they are cheap; you don't make them because they're popular; you make them because they're right.” - Theodore Hesburgh

This quote means that you will make a decisions on something because it is the right thing to do. You shouldn't be making a decisions just because it is easy, you need to know how to deal with things the hard way. You also don’t make the decisions because it is cheap you need to learn that everything has a price in life some highers than others. Lastly you don’t make decisions because it's popular you need to learn that it's better to stand alone doing what is right rather than standing with a group who is wrong. This is why it is important to make the a decision because it is right, not because it's easy, cheap or popular.

There are many examples of how choosing a decision which is right is better than because it was easy, cheap or popular. For example, everyone else is choosing to go to a party because it's the “popular” thing to do but you decide to stay home and study. This will help you out later in life when you are graduating college and off to start your career which took hard work to reach. This is basically what I understood from this quote by Theodore Hesburgh.

Student Success Statement: Abraham Lincoln

“I am not bound to win, but I am bound to be true. I must stand with anybody that stands right, and stand with him while he is right, and part with him when he goes wrong.” -Abraham Lincoln

This quote means that you need to know when it is the right to stand by someone's side and when it is wrong. If you are friends with someone who is choosing the right then you will also choose the right. This will lead you to great things together since you are both choosing the correct path way. If you are friends with someone who is choosing the wrong then you will also choose the wrong. This will lead you to faces consequences together since you are both going down the wrong path way. You need to be able to identify when it is the right and wrong time to stand by someone's side.

There are many examples of how who side you choose to stand by can affect your future. For example, if a friend tells you to not do your homework and you don't do it then it will affect your both. You will both get bad grades for not completing it and that will eventually catch up to you both. Another example would be a friend asking you if you can both study together for an upcoming test, this again will affect you both. You will both score good grades on the test for study and trying your best. This is basically what I understood from this quote by Abraham Lincoln.

Student Success Statement:Brigham Young

“True independence and freedom can only exist in doing what’s right.”-Brigham Young

This quote means that it is important to choose the right so that you can be independent. If you do what is right you will be trusted with freedom and be able to be independent. You won’t need to be depending on anyone for anything while you are choosing the right. If you choose the wrong you will not be able to be trusted with your freedom and will not be independent. You will have to be relying on someone all the time because of you choosing the wrong.

There are many examples of how important it is to choose the right in order to be able to be free and independent. For example, if you were to start smoking you will eventually become dependent on the substance. You will start to feel as though you can't function without it which will make you addicted to it. Another example would be something as little as cheating on tests in order to get good grades. You will eventually get stuck someday unable to copy anyone and what will you do then? Nothing because you will be so use to copy or cheating. This is basically what I understood from this quote by Brigham Young.

Student Success Statement: Victor Hugo

" Right is right only when entire."- Victor Hugo

This quote means that doing what's right will only feel right if you always do it. With one time of you doing it of course you'll feel good but if you do it everyday it will make you feel even better. Doing what is right will take so much weight off your shoulders it will make you feel free and great about yourself. Not only will it make you feel good about yourself, but you will make others feel great as well. It is very important to choose the right in order for you to be lead to success. With that being said, choosing to do what's right will grant you with such an enormous prize that you won't believe how such a little thing as choosing the right can bring so much to your life.

Student Success Statement: Rachel Castillo

"If you do what's right, if you live the right way, you'll be taken care of."-Rachel Castillo

This quote means that if you follow the right path it will lead you to success without you even having to worry about it. When you do what is right you never have to worry about anything going wrong. You will be use to staying out of trouble and choosing the right thing all the time. When you do what is wrong you will constantly feel guilty and be worrying about the consequences. You will be more likely to always be in trouble and be choosing the wrong. Choosing to do and live the right way will help you to be taken care of.

There are many examples of how choosing the right will help you be taken care of. For example, if you always do your homework this will lead you to get good grades, go to a great college and just guide you to success. Doing something as simple as doing your homework can influence the way you will be in the future. Another example would be you not doing your homework this leading you to get bad grades, not go to college and just take you downhill. It can be a great impact on your life whether you choose the right or the wrong. This is basically what I understood from this quote.

Student Success Statement: Arnold H. Glasgow

"In life as in football, you won't go far, unless you know where goalposts are" - Arnold H. Glasgow

This quote means that you won't be able to do much in life unless you sent your priorities straight. If you know exactly what you want to do and have goals set for yourself this will help you in life. If you have a plan for yourself you can easily follow that path to success. Knowing what you want to do in life will help you to be able to stay in the right track all the time. Setting goals for yourself will help you to better yourself in order to be successful in life.

There are many examples of how important it is to set goals for yourself. For example, if you plan out what you want to do after high school you will know what you need to do in order to get where you want to be in the future. These goals will light up the way to success for you without you doing much. Another example would be you not planning out what you want to do after highschool and this causing you to do nothing in life. This is because you didn't set goals for your self in order to lead you to success. This is basically what I understood from this quote.

Student Success Statement: Albert Einstein

"What's right isn't always popular. What's popular isn't always right." -Albert Einstein

This quote means that what you think is right isn't always going to work out with what everyone else is doing. It also means that what everyone is going around doing isn't always going to be right. That means that just because the number of people choosing the wrong is higher than those choosing the right doesn't make it right to do all of a sudden. If you know you are choosing the right then you should stand up against the crowd choosing the wrong. No matter what choosing the right in any situation will make you a better person than those who stand against you.

There are many examples of how choosing the right will make you a better person than those trying to be "popular". For example, if you walk into a party and see a group smoking and they offer you to try. Just because a lot of them are smoking doesn't make smoking all of a sudden healthy. Another example would be you accepting to smoking and becoming addicted just because you wanted to be "popular". If you just stick up for what you believe in you will face no consequences in life unlike those who don't believe in choosing the right. In conclusion it is better to just choose the right.

Student Success Statement: Thomas A. Monson

"You can't be right by doing wrong; you can't be wrong by doing right" -Thomas A. Monson

This quote means that when you are doing wrong it can never be a good thing or right. It also means that when you are doing right it can never be a bad thing or wrong. When you do something right you will always be able to recognize it as correct. When you do something wrong you will also always be able to recognize it as bad. You just have to have the ability of always choosing the right in order to know and understand the difference between right or wrong.

There are many examples of how right will always be right and wrong will always be wrong. For example, if you stand up for someone who is being bullied you know you did it because it was just the right thing to do other than just standing around. Another example would be you getting a bad grade in a class and you not wanting to tell your parents because you know that it is wrong and you don't want to get in trouble for it. It is important for you to know the difference in order to be successful in life by choosing what is right instead of wrong. This is basically what I understood from the quote above from Thomas A Monson.

Student Success Statement: Dean Smith

" I wasn't trying to leave a legacy. I was trying to do what was right." - Dean Smith

This quote means that you don't even have to try to be great if you do what is right. If you do what is right everything will come naturally to you without you having to force it. You following the right pathway will eventually take you to amazing things. Success doesn't come easily but if you do what is right then it will be easy for you. This quote goes to show how choosing the right will take you to achieve greatness.

There are many examples of how choosing the right will take you to greatness. For example Dean Smith was just a coach that knew how to do what is right and how to show great sportsmanship. This lead him to beating the record for the most victories and becoming so successful. He even had a stadium built in his honor but he was so humble he felt that he didn't deserve it. This example shows how just doing what is right will take you to amazing things without you even trying.

Student Success Statement: Randy Pausch

" It's not about how you achieve your dreams. It's about how to lead your life. If you lead your life the right way, the karma ( destiny, fortune, good luck) will take care of itself. The dreams will come to you"- Randy Pausch

This quote means that the way you make your dreams come true isn't important but the way you lead your life is. You shouldn't worry about karma because that will happen when it happens. If you just lead life the right way then everything should fall in to place for you. If your so stuck on worrying the opportunities will just fly right by you without you even noticing. There should be nothing to worry about if you lead your life the right way.

There are many examples of how leading life the right way can prevent you from worrying about not accomplishing your dreams. For example, if you have always worked hard in school and are applying for colleges at the moment. You might worry about not getting accepted to any but in the end you get a lot of scholarships because you were always leading life the right way. Another example would be you never trying hard in school and applying for colleges. You end up worrying about not getting into college at all and in the end you get into some but those weren't really the colleges of your choice yet there is nothing you can do since you didn't lead life the right way.

Student Success Statement: Richard L. Evans

"We need the courage to start and continue what we should do, and the courage to stop what we shouldn't do" - Richard L. Evans

This quote means that we should be able to have the courage to do what is right and continue it. We should also have the courage to stop what is wrong when we know it's not right. If you start and continue to do what is right then good will come your way and keep away the bad. If you stop what is wrong then all you will be left with is good. Another big part of this is having courage without it you won't be able to start, continue or stop anything. This is basically what this quote is trying to get across to you.

There are many examples of how you need courage to start, continue or stop anything. For example you are being bullied by a another classmate so in order for you to be able to put a stop to it you need to have courage. With this courage you are able to talk to an adult about it and they provide you the help you need. Another example would be you being bullied by a classmate but you not being able to have the courage to put a stop to it and it getting worse. These are just a couple of the many examples of how important it is to have courage.

Student Success Statement: Mark Twain

"Always do right"- Mark Twian

This quote means that it is important to do what is right all the time no matter what. If you always choose the right than you won't have to be fearing the consequences. You will be able to do what ever you want with your life by doing things right. If you always choose the wrong you will feel guilty and afraid of the consequences. You will always have to worry about watching your back and being careful instead of living a worry free life. This all goes to prove how important it is to right every where all the time.

There are many examples of how important it is to always do right. For example, if you always do your homework you will get good grades and school will be easy for you. this will lead you to become successful in the future. Another example would be you never doing your homework which means you would get bad grades and you will struggle in school. This will lead you to be unsuccessful in the future because doing wrong will be a habit to you. This is basically what I understood from this quote.
