“ My basic principle is that you don't make decisions because they are easy; you don’t make them because they are cheap; you don't make them because they're popular; you make them because they're right.” - Theodore Hesburgh
This quote means that you will make a decisions on something because it is the right thing to do. You shouldn't be making a decisions just because it is easy, you need to know how to deal with things the hard way. You also don’t make the decisions because it is cheap you need to learn that everything has a price in life some highers than others. Lastly you don’t make decisions because it's popular you need to learn that it's better to stand alone doing what is right rather than standing with a group who is wrong. This is why it is important to make the a decision because it is right, not because it's easy, cheap or popular.
There are many examples of how choosing a decision which is right is better than because it was easy, cheap or popular. For example, everyone else is choosing to go to a party because it's the “popular” thing to do but you decide to stay home and study. This will help you out later in life when you are graduating college and off to start your career which took hard work to reach. This is basically what I understood from this quote by Theodore Hesburgh.
