There are many examples of how right will always be right and wrong will always be wrong. For example, if you stand up for someone who is being bullied you know you did it because it was just the right thing to do other than just standing around. Another example would be you getting a bad grade in a class and you not wanting to tell your parents because you know that it is wrong and you don't want to get in trouble for it. It is important for you to know the difference in order to be successful in life by choosing what is right instead of wrong. This is basically what I understood from the quote above from Thomas A Monson.

"You can't be right by doing wrong; you can't be wrong by doing right" -Thomas A. Monson
This quote means that when you are doing wrong it can never be a good thing or right. It also means that when you are doing right it can never be a bad thing or wrong. When you do something right you will always be able to recognize it as correct. When you do something wrong you will also always be able to recognize it as bad. You just have to have the ability of always choosing the right in order to know and understand the difference between right or wrong.

Student Success Statement:Thomas A. Monson
"If your so-called friends urge you to do anything you know to be wrong, you be the one to make a stand for right, even if you stand alone. Have the moral courage to be a light for others to follow."
-Thomas A. Monson
This quote means that you shouldn't do what others are doing just because you feel pressured. You should stand up for what you believe in even if your the only one. You can't count on everyone to agree with what you are standing up for but that shouldn't discourage you. You shouldn't worry about what others are going to say because in the end you can only always count on yourself. This goes to show how important it is to stand up for what you believe in no matter what.
There are many examples of when standing up for something is important or how difficult it is to stand up for something. For example, a couple of friends want to go bully this classmate but you stand up for the classmate but in the end no one agrees with you, that is okay. It's okay because you did what you could but it will later effect the bullies in life. Another example of this would be your group of friends telling you to go do something that your parents specifically told you not to do and in the end you leave and go home. The next day you find out that after you left they got arrested, well that was good of you to leave when you knew it wasn't right. Like I said earlier what happens is based on whether you decide to stand up or not.

"Obedience is the greatest test of life"
-Thomas S. Monson
Obedience is the greatest test of life because you use it all the time. It is used alot and it is up to you whelther you obey or not. If you obey you are choosing the right. If you decide to disobey you are choosing the wrong. If you obey good will come out of what you did but if you disobey you will have to face the consequences for your actions.
There are many examples of when obedience is put to the test and it depends on you whether you will succeed or not. For example, if your parents tell you to go clean you room being obedient would be if you go do it. If you were to have been disobedient you would of probably ending up grounded or you might have gotten your electronics taken away. Another example would be your teacher assigning you pages from you workbook to work on, being obedient you would complete it and turn it in on time. If you were to have been disobedient you would have probably not got credits making your grade come down which would lead to other consequences. Base on this you should pretty much figure out that being obedient is probably the greatest test of life like stated by Thomas s. Monson. In conclusion, this will help you to become a better person with others when being told to do something.
-Thomas S. Monson
