Duties and Responsibilities:Recreational therapists plan, direct, and coordinate recreation-based treatment programs for people with disabilities, injuries, or illnesses. Recreational therapist use a variety of modalities, including arts and crafts, drama, music, dance, sports, games, and community reintegration field trips to help maintain or improve a patient's physical, social, and emotional well-being.
Salary: $27,858- $52,682
Education:Recreational therapist typically require a bachelor’s degree in recreational therapy or a related field. Associate’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees are also available though less common.   
Demand For This Profession:Employment of recreational therapist is projected to grow 13% from 2012 to 2022, about as fast as the average for all occupations.

Reflection: Do you think you would like to be one? Why? Why not?

I think I would like to be a recreation therapist because it sounds like an amazing career. You get to be able to help people which is a great thing to do and something I enjoy.
